Position Overview:

As a Mechanical Engineer specialising in the mining Conveyor industry, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and equipment used for these mining operations. Key Responsibilities:

- Design and analyse mechanical systems and components for mining conveyor equipment.

- Conduct feasibility studies, performance evaluations, and risk assessments for proposed mechanical designs.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed specifications, technical drawings, and documentation for new equipment or modifications to existing machinery.

- Oversee the testing, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization through the application of innovative engineering solutions.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for mechanical issues encountered during mining operations.

- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering for the mining sector.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field; master’s degree preferred.

- Proven experience in mechanical design, analysis, and project management within the mining industry.

- Proficiency in Inventor software and other relevant engineering tools.

- Strong knowledge of mining equipment and machinery, including familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
