The Role We Want You For:

The Social Content Manager will be responsible for managing all business unit social media and content marketing that promote key initiatives and promote the business/client’s image and reputation.

Someone with strong media, agency and/or industry expertise, the Social Content Manager works closely with the Business Unit Communications Managers to implement proactive social content campaigns to grow followers, engagement, conversion, social sharing and website traffic targeting client prospects, clients, employees, prospective employees, vendors and media.

The Social Content Manager is well-connected and a strong information gatherer, researching emerging issues, trends and challenges that are facing the business. He/she further partners with management teams throughout the business for the purpose of formulation and execution of strategies, solutions, and opportunities pertinent to those issues.

The Specifics of the Role:

Develop, implement and evaluate an annual social content plan to reach target audiences and stakeholders of all business units.

Develop social content editorial calendar, content and key messages for internal and external stakeholders which effectively differentiates business units in their industry, clearly communicates its key selling propositions, and maximizes the visibility of the business unit.

Build social content library as well as produce live stories to maximize timely distribution of news and relevant communications.

Manage business unit accounts/handles as well as those of key executives to optimize reach of the social channels while building opportunities for key executives as industry experts, speaking opportunities, bylined stories, and opportunistic interviews with target media.

Leverage all earned media placements across all social media channels.

Establish social media and content marketing leadership for Clayco and all business units, and serve a go-to resource for trade media on these subjects. Work closely with business unit leader to implement a proactive internal communications plan.

Work closely with Digital Marketing Manager to track social content effectiveness in building desirable web traffic, engagement, conversions and new business opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.

5+ years of demonstrated experience in social media marketing resulting for comparable industry or business. Active journalism, blogger and agency experience a plus.

Extensive successful writing and editing experience (externally focused) with a variety of print and online communications media.

Demonstrated experience and leadership in managing a comprehensive social media and content marketing program to advance an organization's mission and goals.

Experience in effective content creation including: planning, writing, editing, and production of static, video, and live social content.

Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output.

Ability to consistently track campaign performance, revise strategy as needed, and communicate effectiveness to management.
