Senior Manager, Transmission Trading

My client, a leading Fortune 500 integrated retail electricity and power generation company is seeking a talented and analytical senior manager, transmission trading to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy markets, particularly power within the PJM market, and possess knowledge of various aspects of transmission trading. This role requires a deep understanding of fundamental drivers impacting power markets, as well as supporting the optimization of nodal risk.

Key Responsibilities:

Keeping track of the short, mid and long term nodal positions

Utilizing knowledge of the power markets to develop and execute various trading strategies

Maintaining the speculative book consisting of power

Develop innovative structured transactions tailored to mitigate risk, enhance profitability, and capitalize on market inefficiencies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 15+ years of total working experience in relation to the power industry and PJM market

Strong technical, mathematical and econometric ability

Excellent understanding of power system analysis across various ISOs, especially PJM
