OVERVIEW:

The Director, HR Operations & HRMS provides leadership to the Human Resources Generalist and Payroll departments and serves as a liaison to the IT and Finance departments. In this role, The Director, HR Operations & HRMS acts as a project manager and systems administrator for HRMS system configurations, including, but not limited to; upgrades, integrations, implementations, custom reporting, timekeeping, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, performance modules, employee engagement, learning management software, and system security and vulnerability. This role is also responsible for designing, developing, testing and conducting ongoing administration of the HRMS. This includes owning responsibility for processing and maintaining employee information, developing recurring or special reports for internal users and survey responses and conducting regular audits of data input to ensure accuracy of information.

Additionally, this individual will be responsible for gathering requirements, troubleshooting systems issues, and performing ongoing configuration/development/updates of the systems for supporting; IT, Finance, Payroll and Human Resources departments.

The ideal candidate will have considerable expertise in process and workflow automation, HR systems (preferably ADP), and will have 5+ years of experience in managing and overseeing an organization's HRMS including strong integration experience.

This is an Exempt position with standard working hours from 8:45am-5:15pm (Monday-Friday) and additional hours as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Manage and execute all HRMS setups (HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Applicant Tracking, and Surveys & Evaluations).

Accountable for overseeing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to integrations, analytics solutions, data management, security, and system interfaces.

Collaborate with HR and interfacing functional areas (e.g. IT, Finance and Payroll) to develop a comprehensive understanding of the HRMS capabilities, and departmental configuration and processing requirements.

Lead initiatives that integrate people data with other systems and help define technical requirements with the HR users and vendors.

First level support to troubleshoot and resolve issues with our internal help desk or vendor’s Product Support when needed; track issues and risks, communicate status and escalate concerns to management.

Monitor, test, update, and create the integration project plan for HR systems with third party software and/or vendors as required.

Evaluate, communicate, coordinate and mitigate the technical impacts of ADP configuration decisions.

Streamline processes, identify inefficiencies and initiate necessary system improvements.

Identify Federal, State, Local governments and other governing bodies’ requirements and ensure systems can capture and provide the data necessary to fulfill identified requirements.

Create and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, analytics, and integration design documents.

Compile data for annual compensation surveys and required statutory reporting (e.g. EEO-1, state specific pay data reports).

Provide training to system users to develop their report creation and generation skills and enhance their ability to resolve level 1 systems issues.

Work with project team technical experts to discuss downstream systems integration solutions.

Administer and maintain security roles.

Lead system upgrades/updates.

Maintain data integrity in systems by running queries, analyzing data and driving accountability.

Conduct beta and user acceptance testing and provide feedback on new functionality, upgrades, patches, etc.

Identify leading edge application solutions through participation in User Groups, Committees and seminars.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of relevant work experience required.

5+ years of experience working with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRMS.

Law firm or professional services organization experience preferred.

Prior ADP system conversion and implementation experience preferable.

Previous experience in at least one Human Resource function areas in order to understand the HR applications of the HRMS.

Previous experience with Project Management or Business Analysis for; Timeline Planning, Requirements Definition and documentation, test planning, and deployment approaches.

Strong understanding of HRMS database design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with database tools.

Microsoft SQL Server experience.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Ability to communicate effectively and create influence professionally, with employees at all levels of the organization.

Ability to work independently and make independent business decisions.

Prior experience with global HRMS helpful.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Undergraduate degree preferred in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work history.
