The Role:
Candidate will be responsible for developing industrial engineering methods in the areas of factory layout and capacity. Working closely with process engineering and manufacturing, the Industrial Engineer will create and validate capacity models for every equipment type. The candidate will be primarily responsible to support corporate objectives of on-time delivery and productivity improvement
In this role you will:
Maintain and update master data in ERP system, MES and capacity models to aid production
Immediately drive Manufacturing Lead Time reduction projects
Candidate will lead and implement projects to improve operational efficiency and deliver savings which support corporate objectives of on-time delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, etc.
Work with teams to identify problems, analyze information and develop and implement process solutions
Time study critical (bottleneck) processes and build capacity models
Time study all processes and build capacity models for essential equipment’s (bottleneck and SPOF)
Develop and validate a capacity models to predict equipment quantities to meet technology ramps
Facilitate the timely and successfully transfer of demand between capacity constrained plants
Develop Value Stream Maps to improve material, process and communication flows
Support the implementation of lean manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training and employee involvement
Responsible for design of manufacturing processes, layouts of manufacturing plants, tools, jigs, and assembly lines
Support and manage KPI’s (Key Performance Indicator) for operations

Excellent communication skills to clearly communicate ideas to all levels within the organization
Ability to lead teams and implement projects through continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma (DMAIC) with hands-on application - engaging floor practitioner
Experience in leading and implementing Lean systems at the plant level (e.g. 6S, Kaizen events, line balancing, Kanban systems, and Value Stream Mapping)
Experience with time and motion studies
Experience with capacity modelling
Experience with ERP system (SAP) is a plus
Routinely works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of factors. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and valuation criteria for obtaining results
Experience in Advanced MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience with production planning and scheduling is a plus
Minimally a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline; Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical with applicable experience.
Minimally 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing with demonstrated success in yield improvement and rework/waste reduction
Ideal candidate will have experience with Solidworks and/ or AutoCAD
Experience with designing equipment layout and work flow
Experience with cleanroom facilities is beneficial
