This role qualifies for a remote work arrangement. The role requires in-person expectations and regular travel within a 2-4 hour radius of Columbus, OH.

Overview:

Represents the Sheetz Brand to build strong connections with customers, business clubs, organizations, and charities within our communities to foster positive impact and build brand equity assigned geographic area(s). Administers and manages outreach programs that engage, support, and collaborate with the community to develop and expand relationships in the communities in which Sheetz operates.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage event teams, planning, coordination, and execution of both external brand and industry related events including, but not limited to, New Store openings within assigned geographic area(s).

2. Proactively seek sponsorship opportunities in new and existing markets and successfully negotiate agreements.

3. Proactively identify organizations to build relationships and engage the community.

4. Collaborate with Sheetz Brand and Advertising managers on market and consumer segmentation strategies to place sponsorships appropriately.

5. Work with other departments and District Managers as needed to promote Sheetz products and promotions.

6. Independently identify new industry and competitive trends and regularly inform Sales & Marketing of noteworthy new event marketing opportunities within the assigned geographic area(s).

7. Engage the community to define and carry out Brand building events or activities.

8. Evaluate and prioritize new event opportunities as they become available to determine if they support Sheetz business objectives; create business proposals for approval to department manager.

9. Establish evaluation criteria and KPIs to track and report on effectiveness of events in supporting Sheetz business objectives.

10. Network in communities where stores are located within the Sheetz area of operation to increase awareness of the Sheetz brand.

11. Provide support for Sheetz public relations department, as directed, b and participate in regular media training.

12. Assist in the mentoring and development of junior Community Engagement Specialists providing constructive feedback and identifying training opportunities at direction of department manager.

Qualifications:

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business-related field required

Experience

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in marketing and events planning required.

• Previous supervisory/management experience preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

• Valid drivers’ license required
