Summer Camp Advisory Team is the provider of IDEAS Summer Camp at Columbus School for Girls. Our mission is to enrich the lives of children by simultaneously fostering fun and building character. Leadership, teamwork, preparation, initiative, and effort are life skills echoed repeatedly throughout our curriculum. We hire experienced and extraordinary teachers, coaches, and students of education, who are dedicated to cultivating these skills.
Position Overview:
An IDEAS Summer Day Camp Lifeguard, while maintaining the highest level of pool safety and surveillance, will also engage with campers in swim instruction and pool games.
IDEAS Summer Camp Lifeguard/Swim Instructors will benefit from the following amenities:

NO WEEKENDS! Full-time (40 hrs/week) Monday - Friday schedules
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE

Responsibilities:
Job Type: Full-Time Seasonal
Job Location: IDEAS Summer Camp is hosted at Columbus School for Girls, 65 S Drexel Ave, Columbus, OH 43209
Job Description: A Rancho Summer Camp Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, while maintaining the highest level of pool safety and surveillance, will also engage with campers in swim instruction and pool games.
Anticipated Work Hours Per Week:
30 - 35
Wage: This position is at a pay rate of $16.00/hr
Schedule: Camp operates Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. *Shifts are arranged with the Camp Director and posted weekly.
Camp Dates: June 10 - August 2
Must be able to attend required training:
In-person PAID training on Saturday, June 8 & Sunday, June 9 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Qualifications:
Counselor Postition Expectations:
Strong commitment to educational programming for kids and teenagers
Access to reliable automobile for entire duration of the summer camp season
Access to a reliable mobile phone device (i.e. iPhone, Android, etc.)
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Flexibility to meet changing work needs and demands
Ability to work collaboratively on a high-functioning team
Openness to feedback and desire to grow professionally
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
Ability to communicate clearly, maturely, and compassionately with students and families
Ability to maintain an excellent work ethic, a high level of energy, and exceptional enthusiasm all day, every day, for the duration of the summer
Experience & Education:
High School Degree (high schoolers with 1+ years experience lifeguarding may apply)
CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard certifiedCertification Reimbursement may be available for qualified candidates*
1 year teaching or working with children preferred
