Job Description
The Audit Senior will report directly to the Audit Partner in charge and thrive personally and professionally under their leadership. Throughout the year, Audit Seniors will work on a full range of services, including financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, and consulting. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire for challenge and career advancement as partnership is just a couple years away, for the right candidate.
Essential duties will include:
Lead audit engagements from planning to completion
Coordinated fieldwork logistics of engagement with client
Review workpapers prepared by associates and provide feedback
Communicate regularly with clients to answer questions, obtain information, and discuss audit issues
Perform detailed testing of financial statement balances and transactions
Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures
Track budgets to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within client deadlines
Identify and communicate audit findings to management
Stay current on industry trends and changes in regulations
Perform research and documentation of technical issues
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
CPA, or CPA eligibility
Minimum two years of audit experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented and organized
