Overview:

As a Physiatrist at our medical facility, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care for patients with physical disabilities or injuries. You will focus on improving their quality of life through non-surgical treatments, rehabilitation, and pain management. Your expertise in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal conditions, neurological disorders, and chronic pain will be essential in helping patients regain function and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' medical histories and physical conditions.

Develop customized treatment plans to address each patient's unique needs.

Administer or prescribe non-surgical interventions such as medication, injections, and physical therapy.

Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for patients.

Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patients' progress and responses to therapy.

Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on managing their conditions.

Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to assess and monitor patients' functional abilities.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Stay updated on advancements in physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Participate in research activities and contribute to academic initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

Completion of residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).

Board certification in PM&R from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

State medical license and eligibility for medical practice.

Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.

Proficiency in prescribing and managing medication for pain and spasticity.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with colleagues.

Ability to analyze complex medical information and make informed decisions.
