Hardware Engineer II
Honeywell PMC business line is seeking an Electrical Engineer at Hardware Engineer-II level to support our work developing products in PMC portfolio.
Responsibilities are
.Execute project subtasks (designing, testing, VECE Activities etc.)
.Participate all technical discussions, collaborate with Sourcing & Production teams, and make sure all supply chain issues get addressed
.Closely work with project leads, product owners and HW Architects
.Consult with vendors and suppliers to ensure product and project compliance
.Ability to consistently meet scheduled plans and targeted deliverables
.Capability to follow guidelines and ensure efficiency on given project tasks
Required Education and Experience:
.Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
.5+ years Embedded Hardware design, Product development, VECE & HW Testing experience
Required Skills:
.Understanding of a variety of hardware engineering standards and specifications used across Instrumentation, PLC & metering industry
.Experience on Microprocessors & Microcontrollers-based product designs, HW architectures and circuit designs
.Excellent knowledge in Power Supplies Designs, DC-DC Circuits & Voltage regulators
.Experience in Analog / Digital & Mix signal circuit designs.
.Design knowledge on different communications UART, RS422, RS485, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, Ethernet.
.Experience in Schematics design & capture tools, PCB layout guidelines, Board bring up activities
.Experience in circuit simulators and analysis tools - SPICE, PSPICE and HSPICE
.Good understanding of different product development stages, Manufacturing and EMI/EMC, Environmental and Safety Testing and Certifications.
.Experience in Electronics hardware design and testing, Experience in using the hardwaretesting equipment, Multimeter, Oscilloscopes, Signal generators, Logic analyzers etc.
.Very good exposure to VECE engineering activities preferred.
.Component data analysis - datasheets, life cycle, compliance, parametric data, review Product Change Notices (PCNs) for their impact on components
.Part selection and part introduction - cooperate with HW Architects, Senior designers, and component manufacturers to select optimal parts, assigning Honeywell internal part number, determining part description and categorization
.Part standardization - drive part standardization by producing part & supplier assessments, generating component commodity roadmaps, reducing variance of components being used
.Knowledge of electrical, electronic and electromechanics (EEE) components, assemblies, and production technologies
.Electronic components market overview, products, and component families
.Knowledge on RoHS and Reach Standards and similar part marking standards
.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
.Highly self-motivated, Focus on Results, Sense of urgency & willing to take ownership.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
