You will be working as Automation Engineer at Global Grade 15, reporting to Manager - Application for B&R - ABB's Robotics & Discrete Automation business area, Machine Automation division based in Thane, India. You will be responsible of all developments, related to machine automation and robotics. carried out at region or shared with national team with successful completion of project, coordinate with customers for timeline, update progress of each activity with concern sales and reporting manager. Resolve issues and dissatisfaction at customer locations reported by manager or customer.

Your responsibilities

Developing software solutions for machine automation with varied tasks

Software development with our engineering tool Automation Studio

Automation and testing of latest product developments and technologies

Commissioning at our customers' sites, supporting and assisting with technical issues

Planning and monitoring application development status for each assigned task

Keeping the communication channel active with the stake holders until the completion of application

Maintaining and protecting B&R / customer IP

Your background

Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical / electronics / instrumentation / mechatronics)

Minimum 2 to 4 years preferably in machine automation development and support experience

Experience in the field of automation /electricals (PLC, drives, control systems, motion control, vision system)

Knowledge in software development for automation technology (high-level languages e.g. ST, C) and hands on experience of Installation & Commissioning is preferred

Excellent communication and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and address key issues with maximum integrity and professionalism

Fluent in written and spoken English and local languages

Flexibility with business trips
