Job Title: Security Ambassador
Location: Rochester, MN
Shifts:
Full-time: 84 hours per two-week pay period
Schedule: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Week 1: Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday
Week 2: Thursday, Friday, Tuesday, Every Other Saturday and Sunday Worked
Part-time: 40 hours per two-week pay period
Monday - Friday, 6 am - 10 am
Requirements:
Two years of customer service experience in a hospital or service industry
High school diploma/GED
Position Overview: This role serves as one of the initial contact points for patients and visitors, playing a vital role in facilitating visits. The Security Ambassador embodies professionalism, effective communication, empathy, and the ability to interact with diverse individuals. Responsibilities include verifying patient appointments, enforcing institutional visitor policies, utilizing visitor management equipment, and assisting with patient and visitor navigation. The Security Ambassador maintains composure in stressful situations, de-escalates conflicts, and interacts with various security technologies.
Major Functions and Non-Essential Functions:
Establishes a courteous and respectful demeanor with patients, visitors, and
Verifies patient appointments and communicates with colleagues for appointment details
Enforces institutional visitor policies and designated screening processes
Greets patients and visitors, assists in navigation, and monitors building entrances
Utilizes security technologies, including visitor management and passive weapons detection systems
Works varied hours, including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends with rotating days off
Skills:
Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Conflict management and resolution skills
Training in AVADE, Verbal Judo, and/or SIRA
Understanding and use of software programs and security-related equipment
Education:
High school diploma/GED
Two years of previous customer service experience in healthcare, hospitality, or service industry
