The Position:

The Ambulatory Infusion Center (AIC) Nurse will provide primary patient care for specifically assigned patients to include assessments, care planning, evaluation and education of patients receiving infusion therapy and/or other nursing services in accordance with the care matrices. Responsibilities Include:

Responsible for providing direct patient care administering a variety of specialty medications

Appropriate patient education

Completing comprehensive nursing assessments

Establishing peripheral intravenous lines as well as accessing/maintaining central venous lines. (PICC lines, Implanted port, Midlines)

Efficient and timely submission of clinical records

Medication preparation and administration

Triage infusion patient inquiries

Excellent patient assessment and interpersonal skills

Provide clear communication and collaboration to optimize patient care and clinic operations

Participates in performance improvement activities for the enhancement of care delivery offering suggestions and assistance towards the continuous quality improvement of patient care.

Adheres to standards of safety and infection control, in the delivery of patient care

Cleaning and disinfecting of all patient care areas in AIC

Management of AIC supplies

Schedule:

Part-Time, around 24 hours a week

M-F hours 8a-5p as needed

No Weekends/HolidaysRequirements:

RN Degree, BSN Preferred

Advanced certification in specialty areas of practice (e.g. CRNI, ONS, IgRN) preferred but not required

Minimum 3 years nursing experience with background in infusion therapy preferred

Current nursing license for applicable home state

Experience in ICU and/or Cardiac Care preferred

Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

Valid state issued driver’s license with no significant restrictions on that license
