OVERVIEW:

This Position is primarily responsible for managing the Sourcing process from vendor selection/allocation through product delivery. The Associate Sourcing Manager will work closely with key partners in Design/Development/Technical Design/Fabric/Testing/Quality to resolve problems without jeopardizing on time delivery.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

% of Time

• Pre-product allocation: Work with Sourcing manager to initiate dual sourcing and counter sourcing.

• Follow up with vendor to make sure Cost Sheets and Concept Samples are received

• Post-product allocation: Follow up with vendor to make sure they send PO confirmations, EDI receipt confirmation, Production Tracking and Work in Progress (WIP) updates, and that fit/PP/TOP Samples are received in a timely matter.

• Communicate with Central America factories to ensure that product is produced and released in a timely matter (WIP Reports).

• Oversee production approval process, Fit/Preproduction/Top of production, to ensure on time submits & approval.

• Constant communication with internal teams (Associate Product Manager, Technical Design, Assistant Designer etc.) and external partners (mills & factories) to update on pending submits.

20%

• Actively participate in milestone meetings, and weekly Brand meetings as needed, to stay current on product placements as well as suggest new opportunities.

• Manage team meetings while Sourcing Manager is traveling.

• Manage all delivery push, delivery pull, and cancel requests.

• Manage all vendor Delivery Slid related charge backs.

• Monitor and manage liability resulting from Shifts/Cancels

• Limited Travel to Central America as needed
