What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of CIBC’s End Point Compute team, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the configuration and automated deployment of Windows operating systems and applications for endpoints. You will provide key technical 2nd and 3rd level Windows support in day-to-day operations including troubleshooting and remediating operating system configuration and deployment related issues. Day-to-day activities include: Analyzing and resolving Windows OS and application issues, remediating vulnerabilities, provisioning VDI, leading and participating in technical incident bridges, coordinating efforts across teams, articulating technical issues using executive language when presenting findings and analyzing incident history and determining actionable trends.

How You’ll Succeed

Understanding Requirements – Track and analyze operating environment for specified services and implement corrective actions as needed. Work with clients and internal partners to determine, negotiate, and manage services to the agreed standards. Monitor service levels to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions.

People Leadership – Lead and coach a high performing group team of individuals. Direct, motivate, and develop your team, maximizing their contributions and professional growth. Share knowledge and collaborate to come up with effective solutions to problems.

Relationship Management – Work closely with clients and business partners to develop, test, and implement application program. Impact and improve the business by advising application owners on the technology possibilities and requirements.

End Point Incident Support and Triage (Expert)

Troubleshooting Windows Operating System (OS) and components (Expert)

Vulnerability Remediation (Expert)

Windows OS Automated Deployment Methodologies (Intermediate)

OS Deployment

In-Place Updates (IPU)

Driver/Firmware Updates

Automation and Scripting with PowerShell and VBS (Intermediate)

Application Support (Intermediate)

Web Browsers

Document Viewers

Compression Software

Terminal Emulation

Active Directory Concepts including User and Group Management, Group Policy and Login Scripts (Working knowledge)

OS Policy Configuration Support (Working knowledge)

Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager including Software Deployment and Remote Control (Working knowledge)

VDI Provisioning capabilities using Citrix Director and VMware vSphere is an asset.
