Senior Network Engineer - START

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing senior-level support for operational infrastructure alongside various teams such as network architects, Security Operations, and Service Desk. Your responsibilities will include problem-solving leadership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the selection and implementation of technical solutions to business challenges. Moreover, you will lead the implementation of strategies like Disaster Recovery to ensure system integrity, availability, and scalability while adhering to cost constraints. Your expertise will be instrumental in infrastructure design, prioritizing features, and architecting innovative solutions to meet market demands.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with 5-7+ years of progressive responsibilities.

Demonstrated experience in server, network, and user support.

Proficiency in Microsoft server support, including Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL.

Extensive knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies such as VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, and AWS.

Experience with enterprise messaging environments, including mobile devices, video conferencing, and VOIP.

Thorough understanding of on-premises, backup, and data protection concepts.

Track record of IT remediation in response to audit, legal, and compliance recommendations.

Strong grasp of WAN, LAN, IPSec, routing, and switching concepts.

Familiarity with firewall and security appliances and software.

Expertise in infrastructure services like DNS, FTP, and IIS, along with advanced knowledge of security patching methodologies.

Self-motivated, energetic, and committed to continuous learning.

Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with specific products like Palo Alto Firewall, Fortinet (especially FortiNAC), Silver Peak (Aruba), Okta Administration, Meraki, and Amazon Web Services.
