Location: Northern and Central Alberta (various sites)

Start Date: April 2024

End Date: June 2024

Travel: Flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary Hubs (Northern AB only)

Travel Pay: Flat rate based on home province (for turnaround only)

Schedule: Various, Pre-turnaround 10&4, 6&1 turnaround

Accommodations: Camp Provided (Northern AB Only)

LOA: Provided to Red Deer sites only

Compensation: Competitive wages, Vacation Pay, DSP's accepted

Stuart Olson is searching for Pipefitter Tradespeople to join our dynamic team at various client sites in Northern and Central Alberta. Flights from Edmonton and Calgary Hubs plus Travel Allowance Program available for out of province candidates. Camp accommodations, LOA.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.

Maintain and repair pressurized piping systems.

Hydro test and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.

Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.

Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.

Ensure work areas are kept clean and free of hazards.

Ensure tools and equipment are returned to job boxes and tool cribs.

Report all incidents, “near miss” incidents including damages/non-damage, injury/non-injury incidents.

Review and participate in the preparation of safe work practices/procedures as required.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.

Qualifications

Journeyman Pipefitter, Apprentice ID

Valid driver’s license

CSO

H2S Alive or H2S Awareness

Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing

Optional

ESC/OSSA Fall Protection

OSSA Confined Space Entry Monitor

OSSA EWP

Working Conditions

Working in and around noise and dust

Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions

Personal safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots,

Physical Requirements

Stand or walk for long periods of time

Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time

Ability to lift up to 25kg

Climbing stairs/ladders regularly

Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools
