Medical Scribe

Job Description

We are seeking a Scribe/Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You must have 2 yrs medical office experience and perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Seeking very focused, dependable, fast-paced, fast learner, self-starter, highly motivated, multitasking, and team-oriented professional to come join our Family.

Looking for a professional appearance, outgoing personality combined with the appropriate level of discretion necessary for an upscale physicians office.

Seeking well-qualified candidates with excellent communication skills and able to scribe and have a dynamic personality. Must have exceptional multi-tasking abilities and the ability to work in a fast paced medical office. Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner

Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff

Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures

Escort patients to exam rooms

Secures all template changes

Performs all orders for medical supplies

Ensures that charts are complete for providers the day before.

Reports potential problems to supervising LPN to ensure smooth operations.

Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner.

Takes accurate and legible messages, which include time, date and initials.

Answers clinical questions for patients and family members and routes all other calls correctly.

Annotates patient arrivals, no shows and cancellations correctly in EMR system, if getting results make sure they reschedule.

Completes special projects or performs other duties

Qualifications:

Previous experience in as a scribe/medical assistant

Familiarity with health insurances authorizations

Strong organizational skills

Requirements:

Pass a drug screen and full background check

2 References or more for verification

Must be proficient and use EHR system (EclinicalWorks a plus), and have excellent typing skills

Must have excellent customer service skills, detail to patient care, verbal and written communication skills.

Must be computer literate and dedicated to performing quality patient care.
