Head of Data Engineering

About the role Head of Data Engineering £90,000 + Benefits Fully Remote Role: Must be UK Based This is a great opportunity for a Head of Data Engineering to join a leading Geospatial organisation and Data Engineering team.

This is a fully remote role, managing a diverse team across the UK in building and managing Data Governance, Data Pipelines, Data Service models and Machine Learning Models for an established organistion.

Responsibilities: Create and manage a service model that delivers data accurately to stakeholders, Data teams and applications and services.

Manage the cost model for the data platform and the teams working on it.

Support Data Science, Operations and Insight teams to build key data pipelines and platform processes in order to deploy models.

Data governance model implements data access, data retention, disaster/recovery, etc,) based on stakeholder requirements Improve the organisations data architecture and data platforms.

Requirements: Experience leading and managing a Data Engineering team and function Experience in building data integration and Analysis Systems Deep knowledge of the Microsoft Azure technology stack (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory) etc.). Proficiency in a scripting language ( SQL,/Spark/Python). Experience building API and API consumption.

Proficiency in ETL/ELT and CI/CD pipelines Experience deploying scalable data pipelines, and connecting diverse data sources to consolidated repositories.

Experience infla designingand managing service management models Experience of architecting pipelines to support Machine Learning workloads Experience of maintaining high levels of operational delivery Joshua Smith Client Acquisition Lead
