Peraton is looking for an innovative and forward-thinking leader to join the Defense Mission and Health Solutions Sector as a Vice President/GM – Defense Mission Systems. This strategic sector is centered on delivering mission-enabling technology, solutions and services to federal Defense and civilian customers. The portfolio consists of multiple flagship contracts that deliver mission critical software applications, mission critical infrastructure, and cloud platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic direction, business growth, program execution, P&L and business operations, workforce engagement and financial success in concert with the sector President. This position provides a tremendous opportunity to imprint your vision and refine/improve execution plan required to drive significant revenue growth. You will be in a highly visible role where results will have a material impact on the overall success of the company in achieving its long-term market share, revenue, and profit objectives.

This critical role requires a dynamic leader with polished communications,, record of sustained business growth, substantive P&L experience with an emphasis on driving change through a high degree of mission and financial acumen.

In this role, based in Reston, VA, you will lead a portfolio of large and complex programs and opportunities by developing and executing the strategy and vision to include goals, client interface, communication, team structure, and growth.

The Vice President/GM will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

Develop and mature key relationships within the customer organizations.

Maintain aggressive efforts to achieve objectives.

Manage a function that includes multiple related Operating Units.

Involvement and oversight of complex functional activities that will have a major impact on business operations for the business unit, sector and company.

Responsible for all phases of the business unit budget.

Develop and deliver strategies to achieve required contract, departmental, project and/or financial objectives.

Develop and manage standards and methods related to a performance measurement framework which focuses on key performance indicators (KPI).

Define and implement strategies to improve bottom- and top-line growth

Travel required as dictated by business need.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 16 years of professional experience.

An active TS/SCI security clearance

Demonstrated success with the full life cycle of the business acquisition process, from opportunity concept through pursuit, winning, program startup and ongoing execution.

Demonstrated deep understanding of financial modeling, financial metrics, business outcomes related to Revenue, EBITA generation, VAB, DSO, and FCF.

Strong demonstrated background in capture strategy and business case/pricing development for bids and proposals. Detail understanding of cost estimating, BOEs and risks using methodologies such as SEER, Monte Carlo S-Curve, and ICE.Demonstrated experience as a strong, agile and entrepreneurial leader with ability to work effectively across functional groups of the organization and provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development.

Proven management cadence, process for driving results quarter over quarter

High energy, impeccable integrity, and operates at start-up speed

Knowledge of current and future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information that may impact corporate business performance within the Defense market.

Specific experience supporting the following entities: 4th Estate, COCOMS, Army, Air Force, Navy, as well as, manufacturing and logistics.

A demonstrated successful track record of supporting or winning contracts supporting these customer sets.

Thorough understanding of customer’s missions across their entire enterprise. Intimate knowledge of the problems to be solved, domain and functional capabilities needed, and the competitive market landscape.

Proven success in leading diverse and geographically-disperse teams to achieve business objectives.

Expertise at being a senior leader with large P&L organizations in excess of $700M+.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current PMP Certification

ITIL certified

Target Salary Range:

$229,000 - $366,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
