Zoo Attractions Attendant

Overview:

In the Rides and Attractions department, our team is dedicated to a great guest experience every day. We value safety, teamwork, and fun as we operate over 20 rides and attractions throughout the Zoo. This position will focus on delivering that experience at the 4D Theater, Dive into Adventure Program, and Dinosaur Island.

Responsibilities:

Enhance the Zoo and Zoombezi Bay’s atmosphere by providing an inviting and exciting attractions experience.

Ensure safe and efficient operation of attractions.

Engage with guests, answers questions, and provides detailed safety instructions.

Remain attentive and alert at all times in order to react to different situations efficiently

Provide G.R.E.A.T. guest service.

Maintain the cleanliness of the attraction’s area.

Work with area animal keepers and program staff of designated areas

Performs other duties as assigned.

Posted schedule may be subject to change based on operational needs such as weather condition, guest attendance and department needs.

Qualifications:

Must be at least 15 years of age

Able to work in varied weather conditions (i.e. extreme heat, rain).

Excellent oral communication skills

Able to maintain courteous and helpful behavior.

Able to work with diverse guest population including all ages and backgrounds.

Able to maintain appropriate employee appearance.

Able to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.

This position is not eligible for overtime pay.
