About the role
The Cloud Operations Engineer is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting (windows/Linux) environments and handling requests and problem escalations from Customer Success and other departments. Responsible to determine the severity of issues, prioritizing issues and performing diagnosis of the system, and for reporting out and take actions or providing recommendations for resolution.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
Monitor systems and performance tuning
Respond to System alerts from monitoring systems in a timely manner
Diagnose and rectify OS and application configuration problems
Understand high availability and disaster recovery solutions and tools including clustering, load balancing, etc
Ensure change management processes, incident and problem management processes
Work on 24*7 shift rotation
Work with counterparts in other global teams
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or any other equivalent qualification
2+ Years of IT Administration Experience
AWS and Azure Cloud Certification or real-world experience
Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform
2+ Years of IT Administration Experience
Proficiency with mainstream Linux distributions, such as Redhat, CentOS, Ubuntu
Experience using Bash/Bat to automate
Sound knowledge on network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, HTTP, FTP
Have proper understanding of Apache HTTP web server
Familiarity with fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Should be able to work independently with minimum supervision from onsite locations
Strong and self-motivated to help the team in their deliverables
Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks
Ability to learn and absorb new technologies and skills faster
Right attitude, a passion for customer service and good interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
