Ohio Crankshaft is a subsidiary of Park-Ohio Holdings Corporation. Located in Cleveland, Ohio our expertise is precision machining of intermediate to large custom critical parts. We are the current supplier of Locomotive crankshafts and Camshafts to Electro Motive Diesel (Progress Rail). As our name implies, we have a 100-year history and specific expertise in the manufacturing of heavy-duty crankshafts and camshafts, pump shafts, press shafts for internal combustion engines, reciprocating pumps, and Presses.

Position Overview:

Ohio Crankshaft is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Manager of Plant Operations, the Maintenance Manager will oversee all maintenance personnel, including foremen, electricians, mechanics, and contractors. Additionally, they will coordinate and prioritize work assignments with other departments, identify and resolve maintenance issues, monitor the quality of work performed by personnel, and spearhead the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves ensuring compliance with all PMI and maintenance activities conducted across the entire plant.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate a maintenance team to ensure efficient task completion and adjust priorities as needed.

Establish preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Resolve maintenance issues, collaborating with external vendors when necessary.

Drive initiatives to minimize unexpected downtime and costs, enforce company rules, and promote employee education.

Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses.

Monitor maintenance metrics, prepare management reports, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 4 years of relevant maintenance experience.

Demonstrated track record with minimum 10+ years of experience in overseeing maintenance operations within manufacturing or industrial settings.

Prior management experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods.

Adherence to policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Ability to collaborate with diverse work groups and floor associates.

Excellent time management and leadership capabilities.
