Job Description

Radiology Associates of Ocala is currently seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare to our communities.

As an Ultrasound Technologist you must be capable of working independently in a fast-paced outpatient imaging center; have a thorough understanding of all aspects of ultrasound imaging and related patient care; must be available to work day shifts Monday through Friday.

Additionally, you will:

Select equipment for use in ultrasound setup according to specifications of examination.

Explain process to patient, obtain patient history, assist patient in position for examination.

Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.

Maintain ultrasound equipment and work area, and maintain adequate supplies.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various backgrounds including the elderly population

Extensive knowledge of ultrasound imaging procedures and protocols

Ability to learn and grow with new technology

Customer Service skills

ARDMS certification

RVT certification

CPR certification

Minimum 1 year related experience

General computer skills and PACS knowledge (preferred)
