CONTENT DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR JOB DESCRIPTION:

A content developer coordinator is typically a marketing professional who works with the Content Developer and Marketing Department to create and manage digital and physical content including blog posts, articles, videos, podcasts, social media posts, whitepapers, eBooks, infographics, and other assets to inform, persuade or entertain a company’s target audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist to develop/write and edit content for multiple platforms, including websites, social media, emails, blogs, printed collateral, advertising, articles, infographics, etc., including editing existing content.

Research assigned topics for blogs and articles, which may include background research on products and target demographics.

Come up with content goals and strategies and pitch ideas to the Marketing and Communications Directors.

Create content for media outreach and collaborate with the marketing and public relations team.

Brainstorm content ideas alongside the creative and marketing teams.

Collaborate with other departments and team members and brainstorming subjects for creative content and to strategize content deployment.

Create scripts for radio, television, and video multimedia content.

Creating, scheduling, and managing posts through our various channels, including social media.

Revise content whenever customers or clients request changes.

Work with customers to define their content needs.

Identify gaps in content and recommend new topics.

Proofread and edit all content to adhere to style guide and brand guidelines for clients and The Mosaic Group (“Company”) before publication.

Help create style guides or suggest changes to ensure content is consistent and clear.

Perform regular audits to ensure existing content is accurate, updated, and relevant.

Work with content strategists to build editorial calendars.

Create and maintain content calendars for multiple clients and projects, as well as Company publications.

Collaborate with graphic designers, photographers, writers, videographers, advertising specialists and marketing directors to develop well-rounded campaigns.

Work closely with team members and vendors to accomplish client and Company campaign goals.

Managing and completing work on time for multiple content writing projects.

Contribute to client reports and proposals as appropriate.

Create, edit, and proofread content for RFP/RFQ/ITN submissions.

Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends to support content development affecting clients and The Mosaic Group and make appropriate recommendations regarding content strategy.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

3-5 years professional work experience as a content writer.

College degree in marketing, communications, or journalism; or equivalent work experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

Experience working with cloud-based file management software such as Google Drive and Dropbox.

Experience using content planners and calendars such as Airtable.

Experience using social media scheduling tools, such as Later, Buffer, etc.

Experience in project management software such as Teamwork, Asana, Basecamp, Monday, etc.

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

Fluency in English required; proficiency in Spanish and/or Creole a plus.

ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY:

Consistently attends meetings and events on time.

Is available during business hours for meetings.

Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
