Position Overview: As a LMIA Cook at Edo Japan (Richmond Centre), you will play a vital role in our kitchen team, responsible for preparing and cooking delicious Japanese cuisine to the highest standards.

Job Details: Employer Name: Edo Japan Job Location: Canada Salary: $20.00 -$25.00 hr Job Position: Lmia Cook Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, Part-Time, 40-60 hours per week Education: High School or Diploma Degree Experience: 1-2 Basic Requirements Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including Teppan-style meals, sushi, rice bowls, and noodles, according to recipes and menu specifications.

Ensure that all food items are prepared and cooked to the highest quality standards, following proper food safety and sanitation procedures.

Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation and service during peak hours.

Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and communicate with management regarding ordering and restocking needs.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, including equipment maintenance and sanitation.

Assist in the development of new menu items and recipes, as needed.

Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth communication and coordination between the kitchen and dining areas.

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications: Previous experience working as a cook in a restaurant or similar food service establishment.

Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and adapt is essential.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Possession of relevant food safety certification or willingness to obtain one.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
