The role

This role is responsible for providing a packaging & artwork development service for PCI Pharma in line with business needs. This includes, but is not limited to packaging materials and specifications, design of appropriate packaging, origination, control and approval of artwork to meet both internal and client requirements. In addition, you will play a part in the creation of serialisation labels and supporting serialisation activities in line with role.

Responsibilities

Origination and approval of customer artwork and associated packaging material specifications.

Design, development and approval of packaging solutions and associated packaging material specifications to fulfil the customers' requirements in line with equipment and tooling capabilities and ensuring that they meet PCI requirements for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Costs and meet the requirements of all stakeholders, including regulators when considering labelling and safe packing of hazardous materials.

Maintenance of the material specification database, this is to include the generation, recording, filing & archiving of withdrawn / superseded Packaging Documentation (Material Specifications, Label Specifications & related Documents).

Creation of Serialisation labels (including liaising with US team to obtain approval and conversion to Zebra format).

Maintenance of the component development and artwork origination ways of working including, but not limited to databases, templates, SOP's and training.

Work in conjunction with Purchasing team to identify preferred suppliers for packaging materials.

Responsible for aligning all new packaging materials to equipment capabilities thus ensuring efficiency is maximised but quality is maintained.

In conjunction with Production, Engineering and Technical Operations participate in Continuous Improvement Projects as required, including all OEE projects to ensure improved efficiencies, reduced waste and cost.

The job holder is responsible for adhering to PCI SOPs, Health & Safety, GMP and other regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

GMP understanding is essential for this role.

Strong communication skills

Able to work alone as well as a member of a team.

Excellent English level.

Previous experience in the role or sector is advantageous.

Strong organisational skills.

Comfortable in using Microsoft and PCI software.
