This position is responsible for developing, and implementing supplier quality management (SQM) and monitoring microbiological & quality systems, procedures, and standards for ongoing product and initiative delivery at the Mount Kailash manufacturing site.

The role includes but not limited to advanced micro detection, complex micro issue troubleshooting, using data to assess process control, and advising on microsampling/specs.

The individual will also be responsible for design, conduct, and report R&D projects to serve business needs.

Has direct responsibility for the management of on-site compliance, Quality Assurance/Quality Control personnel and product release.

Single point of contact for external and internal audits.

This is a full-time, on-site role at Surajkund, Faridabad, Haryana

Role Responsibilities:

The Quality manager and site microbiologist will have overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the site's labs and microbiological program in compliance with Company and local regulations:

Analytical and Microbiological lab, standards, and procedures; qualification of lab personnel: analysts and advanced analysts, and successors

Compliance with the requisites analytical and microbiological operating standards and procedures (GMO SOP system)

Risk assessment during Change Control System and Design review processes.

Regulatory compliance with cGMPs at the laboratory and the manufacturing facilities and other regulations are micro-relevant and applicable to the site and its customers.

General Requirements

The individual must possess a sound technical understanding of analytical and microbiology and their application to industrial processes, operating standards and product testing. If the academic background does not support this, the individual should demonstrate technical mastery in industrial microbiology supported by professional experience.

The individual will be expected to create the Company's lab and microbiological qualifications, SOP and standards,be able to interpret them correctly and be able to benchmark site systems with other sites to understand improvement opportunities.

The individual should be able to communicate the established metrics for the site.

Technical

Superior working knowledge of regulatory and quality system requirements –HACCP, HARPC, Good Manufacturing Process (GMP), Sanitation principles, etc.

The microbiologist will have to develop a solid understanding of statistical evaluations to enable data tracking and trending to support quality programs and E2E synchronization. Review and trend the environmental microbiological monitoring program (EMMP) and product testing results and provide holistic recommendations.

A good understanding of the regulatory requirements and necessary compliance of the products made at the specific site and the city/country where the products will be marketed. Adherence to defined standards at regulatory, corporate and site levels.

Troubleshoot complex micro incidents in micro lab, manufacturing environments and/or products. Coach technicians or other lab team members for development in this area.Overall good communication (oral and written) and, collaboration skills.

They should have a good understanding of the making and packing process to be able to determine where equipment and processes are at risk for microbial contamination & recommend production stops accordingly.

Validation & Statistical

The individual should have an intermediate-level understanding of Validation.

Demonstrated good investigative and documentation skills

Support finished product and ingredient specification development & reviews.

Support R&D & innovation QA team for microbiological food safety risk evaluations

Conduct process validation & verification activities as needed.

Ability to apply statistical analytical methodologies to describe process and product characterizations.

Management

Demonstrated leadership skills: problem-solving; ability to coach leadership in site and sector to provide transparency on micro risks and potential mitigations; influencing skills; to implement required changes across sites and drive improvement.

The individual should provide necessary information on systems gaps for which the capital is needed and should understand the plant budgeting cycle to work with HQ and engineering to incorporate requirements of capital in the master plan.

Hiring Qualifications Could Be

Bachelors in Microbiology, including industrial microbiology or experience in the water industry

Proficiency in computer programs/software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and LIMS systems.

Experience

5+ years of beverage manufacturing plant and microbiology laboratory experience handling compliance, microbiological root cause analyses and Environmental microbiological monitoring programs
