Job Overview: MUST HAVE Valid TWIC, Basic Plus

We are seeking a skilled Crane Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles and equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical knowledge and experience in crane diagnostics and maintenance.

Job Requirements:

A minimum 3 years of experience as a Mobile Crane Mechanic/Technician that can operate and inspect cranes to diagnose defects.

Must have in-depth knowledge of tools and their uses.

Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required for field technician positions.

Demonstrates working knowledge of but not limited to; CANBUS, PAT, EKS, ECOS, LICCON, and Greer systems.

Possess strong knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures involved in maintenance, repair, and replacement of parts.

Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges.

Perform periodic inspections on the boom and structural components.

Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.

Tests mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications.

Prepares for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness.

Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision

Maintain conformity to safety requirements, manufacturer procedures, and other regulations.

Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.

Properly fills out working reports, hour’s reports, time sheets, hour’s overviews, work orders, and expense reports.

Exceptional customer service and communication skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Must be able to operate and navigate iPad for reports and emails.

Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends.

Travel is required periodically.

Repair and maintain all sizes of cranes as well as other heavy equipment.

Perform diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components as needed.

Perform planned maintenance and inspections.

Operate and test repaired equipment and confirm that specifications are met.

Complete thorough documentation on all reports and forms as required with work assignments.

Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor in a professional and efficient manner.

Ability to read, understand, interpret, and apply hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematic diagram information for troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair.

In depth knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems

Must be willing to travel, as needed.

Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Must have the ability to function effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented work environment.

Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.

Must be able to work (flexible hours) extended hours including nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Sets a positive example in punctuality and professional demeanor by respectful communication with all levels of staff, keeping work areas/Field Service Trucks clean & orderly plus promoting safety regulations and all other company programs.

Preferred Qualifications: History of working with different forms of crane equipment such as but not limited to; Grove, American, IHI, Manitowoc, Tadano,, Demag, Liebherr, Link-Belt, Terex, National -- Types: RT, AT, OTR Mobile, Boom truck, Crawler hydraulic and friction, Carry Deck, Etc.
