What we are looking for:
Lab specimen collection experience
A Certified Phlebotomist is required for all blood draws
Pass drug screening and background screening
Driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of infection control principles and practices
Knowledge of HIPAA laws and patient rights
Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Willingness and ability to learn quickly and adapt to a variety of situations
Able to work with people from diverse ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, and sexual preference backgrounds.
Able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
Responsibilities:
Perform basic laboratory tests (including, but not limited to blood collection, DOT and non-DOT drug tests, DNA specimen collection, COVID Rapid and PCR tests, and other point-of-care testing.
Maintenance of laboratory equipment and sterilization of lab equipment
Collect and process laboratory specimens and prepare them for courier service
Log and record lab work. Maintain accurate logbook
Review all lab work before it is sent out to labs, organize and maintain existing lab forms, scanning and data
Entry of lab tests, and correction of lab reports improperly filed.
Maintain an environment conducive to patient comfort and confidentiality
Perform venipuncture as needed.
Maintain and update patient information in the electronic medical record
Provide patient information/instructions
