Job Description

Packaging Forklift Operator – Rotating 12 Hour Day & Night Shift - Waynesville - $20.00

PrideStaff is recruiting for a Packaging Forklift Operator for Day & Night Shift - for a manufacturing company located in Waynesville.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Transport supersacks from the plant to the warehouse

Transport pallets of bags from the palletizer to the warehouse

Follow packaging instructions for both supersacks and bags as defined in the SCR, or by management

Tie supersacks, as needed by production demands

Operate pallet wrapping machinery

Print pallet labels from the company system accurately, and on pace with production

Complete batch record paperwork as needed

Operate the super-sacker scales

Keep work area clean, and free of salt and debris

Operate both the automatic and manual wrappers

Perform basic trouble shooting for the label printer

Maintain an accurate and complete forklift safety log

Follow all safety procedures

Monitor alarm panel, and notify appropriate personnel, if alarm occurs

Maintain a stock of slip sheets and pallets, as needed

Keep the palletizer stocked with slip sheets and pallets

Qualifications and Requirements:

Previous high-volume manufacturing experience preferred but not required

Strong attention to detail

Ability to read/write (English) and interpret numerical sequences and identify lot numbers

Good communicate skills

Ability to lift, push/pull up to 45 pounds consistently and stand constantly and work in repetitive operations.

The ability to be forklift certified
