Job Description

This position will be responsible for providing hands-on technical review of printed circuit boards via their role in the SMT Department of our electronics production facility.

$1000 sign-on bonus!

Responsibilities

The primary function of this role will be to identify defects and sort good PCBA's (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies) and complete repairs as needed. In addition, the role will be required to repair PCBA's using soldering irons, heat baths, and hot air methods. Will Train!

Candidates should have confidence in establishing the quality of workmanship of solder, solder joints, raw materials, etc. to assure work processes, instructions are being followed and met per Quality Assurance and industry standards. Candidates will be trained on how to ensure assemblies are not damaged, check for process stamps. Candidates should be comfortable with computer systems and have high attention to detail. The operator may be required to maintain logs and internal documentation along with routine housekeeping. AOI operators may perform some physical activities that require the use of arms, legs, walking, standing, lifting, and handling of materials.

Must be able to lift 25 pounds, Candidates should be familiar with electrical components relating to Printed Circuit Boards (PCB).

Prior experience as an AOI Operator and previous experience with soldering are helpful.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Education, Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Skills which are necessary for this role:

Knowledge of general safety procedures, ESD procedures, Basic computer knowledge.

Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions such as safety, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, and to solve practical problems.
