Duties and Responsibilities
Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine material requirements or assembly instructions
Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using several small manual and power tools, including but not limited to: wire cutters, screwdrivers, stripping tools, signal generators, drills, and calipers
Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications
Measure and adjust voltages to specified values to determine operational accuracy of instruments
Safely use any special tooling and lifting devices provided
Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths
Confer with supervisors or engineers to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems
Use visual inspection techniques to verify quality of product
Assist in troubleshooting efficiency and effectiveness
Maintain a clean, safe work area free of foreign materials
Participate in training and cross-training efforts as needed
Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS
One year minimum assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read written procedures and understand wiring diagrams/schematics/work orders/blueprints
Basic knowledge of using common hand tools, such as hammers, screwdrivers, tape measures, wrenches, vice grips, levels, and pliers
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required

Demonstrated high level of quality in workmanship
Basic math, reading, and reasoning skills
Ability to communicate effectively, written and oral
Demonstrated knowledge and use of hand and power tools
Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Demonstrate multi-tasking ability to respond to manufacturing needs
Ability to work independently or with a team
