Job Description

We are looking for a talented individual…

To join our team as an Energy Rating Specialist. You will join our New Construction Division based in Providence, serving primarily Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts. The Energy Rating Specialist will identify and enroll new clients and projects, work with project teams from initial project planning through final construction and perform field inspections through various stages of the construction process to support the delivery of CLEAResult’s portfolio of New Construction services including:

HERS Ratings

Energy Code Compliance

Energy Star Homes

LEED for Homes

Passive House

For this opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can…

Review construction blueprints and plans

Generate energy modeling using REM-Rate/EKOTROPE software

Visit sites during construction

Perform diagnostic testing, including the use of blower door, duct blaster and combustion safety equipment

Collect and produce documentation related to the progress, status, and outcome of each project, and prepare and submit required documents to verify code compliance, green certification, and rebate eligibility

Successfully communicate technical concepts to subcontractors in support of energy efficiency and green specifications

Initiate outreach to potential clients to ensure program enrollment goals are met

Write proposals and secure contracts to deliver services

Work with project teams to establish goals and identify available resources for each project

Support projects from initial modeling to final construction, and assist project teams with meeting their goals (energy savings, code compliance, green verification)

Provide project teams with technical assistance and training to overcome barriers, achieve their verification goals and secure applicable program incentives

Participate in ongoing training and education provided by CLEAResult to build a solid technical knowledge of diagnostics testing and the latest industry developments

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

Bachelor’s degree preferred (Building Science - Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field or experience)

Experience in residential construction preferred

Proven ability to learn and process technical information from many different sources - new products, services and measures are regularly introduced into the program

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Strong interpersonal, writing, verbal communication, and reporting skills

Detail oriented with an ability to balance and manage multiple tasks and deadlines both independently and in a team setting

Compensation Range $61,000.00 - $87,900.00
