Reporting to the Sr. VP Corporate Technology Solutions the Sr. Director Enterprise Applications will be responsible for leading and shaping the organization's Enterprise Applications direction by overseeing and optimizing the product owners, business analysts, project managers and business system support teams. The primary responsibility will be to develop application strategy, implement enterprise applications, manage lifecycles and providing ongoing support and maintenance while managing vendor relationships. They will also be pivotal in providing leadership to the team.

Essential Duties

Develop and execute a strategic plan for the organization's enterprise applications in alignment with overall business objectives.

Provide leadership and direction to the enterprise applications team.

Build and manage a high-performing team, ensuring staff development, engagement, and effective collaboration.

Work Leadership to help define and maintain a technology roadmap for enterprise applications, considering emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Oversee relationships with third-party vendors and ensure that external solutions meet the organization's requirements and standards.

Direct and manage the implementation of enterprise application projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Ensure the Product Owners prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that development efforts align with business priorities and goals.

Ensure the Product Owners work closely with business stakeholders to define clear and actionable user stories that capture the requirements for new features or improvements.

Working with Development and Enterprise Architecture, ensure seamless integration between various enterprise applications, such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), HCM (Human Capital Management), Merchandising, and POS (Point of Sale) systems.

Work with the security team to implement and enforce security policies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, especially in handling sensitive customer and financial data.

Partner with the IT Support team to ensure the monitoring and the performance of enterprise applications.

Implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and user experience.

Develop and manage the budget for enterprise applications, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.

Collaborate with business leaders to understand their needs and challenges and align enterprise applications with business processes.

Develop and implement training programs for end-users to ensure effective adoption of new technologies.

Manage change effectively, especially during system upgrades or migrations.

Identify and mitigate risks associated with enterprise applications, including data breaches, system failures, or other potential disruptions.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement by staying informed about industry trends, evaluating new technologies, and recommending improvements to existing systems and processes.

Implement reporting and analytics capabilities within enterprise applications to provide meaningful insights for decision-making.

Working with IT Support, ensure timely and effective support for end-users, addressing issues and concerns related to enterprise applications.

Travel as required.

Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Significant experience in leadership roles, preferably in a senior management position overseeing enterprise applications or IT.

Knowledge of Blue Yonder (JDA), Relex, Microsoft, Oracle and similar Enterprise Applications a must

Proven experience in managing and implementing enterprise applications such as ERP, WMS, Merchandising, and other relevant systems.

Strong leadership and management capabilities (10+ years’ experience leading a team)

Track record of continuous operational process improvement and implementation

Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning (e.g. user groups, blogs, conferences, community awareness, and next generation tooling).

Relevant certifications in project management, enterprise architecture, or specific enterprise applications can be beneficial.

Have a propensity towards action and making quick decisions after considering opposing viewpoints.

Experience leading and coaching Agile teams; advocating and developing Agile values and principles.

Thorough understanding of composable architecture

Excellent verbal and written communications skills
