Candidates are required to work together with their co-teacher on completing daily activities for the classroom which include but are not limited to; implementing curriculum, changing diapers, feeding, cleaning, and sanitizing. Hourly Pay varies depending on experience and degree level. Qualifications
Must meet basic requirements of local and state child care regulatory agency
Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program required
Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
Must be able to list 35 pounds in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.MLBC2023

Instruct early preschool and or preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
Supervision and daily class functions of a group of children
Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Chantilly and the local, state, and national agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
Support each childs social and emotional development and provide positive guidance
Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
Implements the approved Curriculum plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum and programming
Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence
Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior
Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas, and playgrounds
Communicate with parents on students growth and progress
Attends all staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions
Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines in the Primrose School of Chantilly Employee Handbook
