Salary:

Summary

A traveling construction laborer, artist, or fabricator will work on various construction assignments including, but not limited, to the following areas: grading, reinforcing steel and structure, concrete application, machine operation, plumbing, and carpentry.

Location: Branson, MO

Shift: First shift; 40 hours typically but may vary based on need

Employment type: Direct hire

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure safety and cleanliness in the work area.

Perform various general labor tasks as required.

Work in diverse areas such as grading, reinforcing steel and structure, concrete application, machine operation, plumbing, and carpentry.

Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Use basic hand tools: tape measure, hammer, pliers, shovels, rakes, etc.

Use power tools: drills, saws, handheld grinders.

Perform heavy lifting.

Adhere to safety requirements and equipment guidelines.

Travel as necessary to various sites.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Knowledge and Skill

Two years of high school and six to twelve months related experience; or a combination of education and experience.

Read and comprehend instructions. Ability to effectively communicate with other employees of the organization.

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Construction knowledge and experience preferred.

Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred.

Forklift experience and light equipment operation experience preferred.

Welding, concrete, fiberglass, and artistic experience preferred.

OSHA/safety training preferred.

Up to $85/day lodging reimbursement (amount based on distance from home)

Fuel reimbursement when traveling from home to job site and job site to job site

1 roundtrip flight home per month during 1st year of employment

Physical Demands

Lift 70 lbs. floor to waist; lift 90 lbs. waist to chest; lift 25 lbs. chest to overhead; carry 50 lbs. over a distance of 50 ft.; push a 100 lbs. wheeled cart over a distance of 100 ft.; and drag 50 lbs. over a distance of 100 ft.

Work Environment

Exposed to typical noises and smells associated with the construction environment, such as exposure to fumes or airborne particles and machinery. Noise level is moderate to loud.
