The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis Inc. is currently seeking a Assistant Center Coordinator. Under general supervision, the Assistant Center Coordinator is responsible for assisting with supervision at a single site that contains Head Start Classrooms. This includes monitoring curriculum and providing educational resources for staff and parents. The Assistant Center Coordinator has technical and administrative supervision over the Center staff; works in tandem with other program coordinators and specialists; and is a member of the Head Start/Early Head Start Management Team.

The above knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience.

Candidates must have:

A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, is required, a master's degree is preferred

Three years of experience in curriculum planning and the instruction of pre-school children.

Three years of experience in an administrative function with direct supervisory responsibilities is preferred.

Experience in working with disadvantaged and low-income families is desirable.

A physical exam, clear tuberculosis screen, Hepatitis A vaccination and background check are required.
