Business Development Manager

Job Title: Business Development Manager

Reports to: Executive Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

You will be responsible for building and developing solid business-to-business relationships with the referral sources and will participate and lead the internal sales efforts as well.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Develop business-to-business relationships with the referral sources that would provide strong and steady pipeline of referrals

• Prospect for new referral sources on regular basis

• Implement, monitor and promote resident referral program

• Collect data from competition and make comparative quarterly analysis

• Identify new partners/businesses in the area for marketing purposes

• Analyze our strengths and weaknesses compared to the competition and come up with suggestions

• Assist in developing and/or implementing the Marketing Action Plan

• Assure that occupancy and sales are meeting and/or exceeding the goals

• Maintain a flexible schedule to work different hours

• Attend local Chambers of Commerce meetings and events for marketing purposes

• Based on local circumstances, may conduct community tours with prospects

• Other duties may be assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university and a minimum of 3 years related sales/account management experience and/or training (preferably in senior living)

Skills/Experience

• Must be passionate about sales and marketing

• Outstanding communications skills (written and verbal)

• Strong follow up and closing skills

• Exceptional interpersonal skills

• Must have proven leadership & teamwork skills

• Must have proven data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills

Travel

Employee must be able to travel 80% of the time.
