Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean of Student Services, the Assistant Director of Admissions (Enrollment Communications Specialist) will maintain and manage daily operations in our CRM, Technolutions Slate. This person will create and maintain applications and admission processing procedures; build, implement and maintain new functionality available by Slate to enhance new student enrollment and serve as a resource for other staff members; and assist with the documentation of standardized policies and procedures. They will also work with on and off campus partners to create an extensive communication plan across different media. The successful candidate will work in person in the Admissions Office at our Poughkeepsie Campus.
Core responsibilities will include:
Leverage the Slate CRM to deliver targeted, effective communications
Create reports and queries
Work with Marketing Office to develop publications and maintain inventory.
Help develop the strategy and program plan for student outreach programs, partnering with colleagues on their execution. Ex. EOP, Housing, Athletics, etc.
Create and manage a comprehensive strategic communications calendar
Manage content and deadlines for third-party recruitment platforms
Some website maintenance for the Admissions Office
Stay up to date on trends and best practices in enrollment communications and Slate
Assist staff with recruitment event planning.
Some nights and weekends to assist with office events (e.g.: fall and spring Open House)
Other duties as assigned Requirements:
Qualifications:
Prior experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool (Slate strongly preferred), Drupal, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Office.
Bachelor's degree is required
One to two years of experience in marketing and communications, with demonstrated success in designing interactive and engaging content
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and work independently
Ability to work collaboratively as part of an inter-office, cross-disciplinary team
Adaptability and versatility in the face of competing priorities, demands, and deadlines
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
A valid driver's license is required.
Strong project management skills with experience overseeing development of digital collateral.
Excellent communications skills to support relationship building with prospective students and other constituents.
Skill and sensitivity to issues of diversity, equity and inclusion and a demonstrated commitment to building a strong and diverse communication plan.
