Job Description
Quality Requirements: Must learn and follow all quality requirements in accordance with ASME and API policy standards. Must follow all verbal and written instructions conveyed by the Vessel Production Manager regarding policy standards. Must have, and maintain, a general working knowledge of API, ASME, Q1 and Smith Industries, LLC Policy requirements and the safety aspects of applicable industries.
General Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. Must meet all requirements of WI-017, Welding Operations. Must pass 6G weld test and have experience with layout and blueprints. Minimum 3 years experience with vessels. Above all must be a team player with high level of dedication.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand/walk 10 to 90% of the work day; sit to perform normal office duties for 10 to 90% of the work day, occasional bending, squatting, ascending ladders/stairways, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to pass 6G weld test. Minimum of 3 years experience building vessels.
