The base salary for this position is $34.17 hourly.

The Golf Course Head Mechanic will lead the mechanic team and perform major and minor mechanical repairs on gasoline and diesel equipment. This person will be responsible for inspecting, adjusting, and diagnosing mechanical defects of all equipment assigned to the department. Duties include sharpening and height adjustments of all cutting units, general overhaul and maintenance of motors/small engines, prepares requisitions and orders parts/supplies required to perform such repairs. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess effective computer skills and will complete assignments efficiently. Previous experience as a mechanic, knowledge in repairs of small rotary mowers, handheld equipment, and electrical circuitry, and/or the completion of coursework in mechanics from an accredited school or ASE certification is required. Qualifications

Must have a minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Must have a valid Hawaii State driver’s license.

Experience and knowledge in repairs of small rotary mowers and hand held equipment and electrical circuitry.

Golf course mechanic experience in grinding, sharpening and adjusting reel mowers preferred.

Must have background and certification in factory-supervised training.
