Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Irrigation Superintendent to oversee our irrigation projects and ensure the effective management of our irrigation systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring all aspects of irrigation, including design, installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires a hands-on approach and a strong understanding of water management and conservation practices.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement efficient irrigation systems tailored to the needs of specific landscapes and lawn care projects.

Supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems, ensuring all work is completed to high standards.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of irrigation systems to identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal performance and water efficiency.

Manage and maintain inventory of irrigation supplies and equipment.

Train and supervise irrigation technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure quality workmanship.

Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation solutions into overall landscape design and maintenance plans.

Develop and implement water conservation practices and strategies.

Prepare and manage the irrigation budget, including cost estimates and expenditure tracking.

Stay updated on the latest irrigation technology and techniques to enhance service offerings and operational efficiency.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding water use and irrigation.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in irrigation system design, installation, and maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of water management practices, irrigation systems, and equipment.

Proficiency in using irrigation software and technology.

Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing conditions and work demands.

A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various job sites as required.

Certification in irrigation management or a related field is preferred.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Degree or certification in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Irrigation Science, or a related field is preferred.
