How you make a difference:

As a Food and Nutrition Services Aid, you will work collaboratively with the kitchen team to prepare and serve high-quality meals to patients and staff in the hospital. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks such as cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment, stocking supplies, and preparing and delivering meals to patient rooms. You will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive the necessary nutrition to support their recovery and overall health.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure safe and high-quality food service by maintaining accurate production records, following dietary needs, and adhering to proper food temperatures and HACCP standards.

Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment by following proper sanitation practices and regularly cleaning kitchen equipment.

Provide individualized care to patients by considering cultural diversity issues, treating patients as individuals, and being knowledgeable about the care and treatment needs of patients of different ages.

Follow local health department standards for personal hygiene and infection control policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Actively participate in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by adhering to the clean-as-you-go practice, removing empty boxes and trash, and ensuring the kitchen is in inspection-ready condition.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

Experience is food service preferred.

Licenses/Certifications

ServSafe Certificate
