The Pediatric Integrated Behavioral Health Provider works directly with Pediatric Primary Care providers in our collaborative integrated model and will be responsible for screening, assessing, triaging and treating patients with various behavioral health and psychological conditions to include all levels of acuity. Positions are structured on a hybrid model, if desired, with both virtual and onsite work. Providers working full time can work up to 2 days remotely. Remote days are determined in collaboration with specific sites based on site needs
Position Highlights
Opportunities existing in the Metrowest communities
Assess, diagnose and treat pediatric primary care patients for behavioral health and psychological disorders
Provide direct clinical services to patients and families in the form of psychosocial assessments, individual, family, and group treatment
Collaborate as a member of multi-disciplinary integrated team for the development and delivery of treatment plans
Provide evidence-based therapy
Provide interventions with patients regarding health behavior change and adherence to medical plans
Enhance patient engagement by providing brief problem-focused interventions; behavioral activation, motivational interviewing, etc.
Present cases to regional Prescribers (Nurse Practitioners and Psychiatrists)
Perform case management and coordinate care in partnership with medical social worker, and other team members
Facilitate appropriate patient referrals for chronic substance abuse, chronic mental health services, complex care management and other appropriate community resources
Obtain and coordinate communication with collateral contacts including school personnel, community based behavioral health providers, and/or state agency caseworkers, to coordinate behavioral health care in collaboration with the PCP
Help develop and complete relapse prevention and/or self-management plans with patients as needed
Actively participate in PCP and staff education presentations, care coordination meetings, case reviews, utilization management rounds and other department meetings as required or directed

Required Qualifications:
Clinical Psychologist OR LICSW
Unlimited Licensure in the state of Massachusetts
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within an integrated model
Current Massachusetts driver’s license.
CANS Assessor certification
Minimum 3 years practice experience
