Job Description:

The Private Credit Strategies Group primarily focuses on providing private investment capital to publicly traded companies and private equity sponsors in connection with growth financings, recapitalizations, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions within the Life Sciences sector. The groups utilize a flexible approach when structuring investments, which may include royalty monetizations, synthetic royalties, senior debt (secured and unsecured), subordinated debt, preferred & common equity, and private equity, thus providing candidates a chance to work on investments across the capital structure. Candidates can expect to work on numerous projects at a time. The relatively small size of this group offers Principals the opportunity to work closely with senior members of Blackstone and to work on numerous projects at one time.

Qualifications:

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, have sound judgement and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate should have:

At least 8 years of relevant work experience from investment banking, private equity or private credit, with a focus on the Life Sciences sector

Exceptionally strong financial modeling skills

Strong organizational and process management skills

Strong communication skills, a demonstrated ability to write effectively

A desire to work in a team environment, and the ability to think and work independently

Advanced degree in a Life Sciences discipline (i.e. MD, and/or PhD) preferred, but not required

The duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position. Assignments, duties, and responsibilities may be changed at any time, with or without notice, by Blackstone in its sole discretion.

Expected annual base salary range:
