Job Description

Automotive supplier looking to hire a Stamping Operator IMMEDIATELY in Rochester, MI. on 3rd shift.

2nd shift: Monday - Friday 3pm -11pm plus 5% premium shift **MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK WEEKENDS**

3rd Shift: Monday through Friday 11pm-7am 10% shift premium **MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK WEEKENDS**

Pay: $18-20/hr. depending on experience

To support the stamping operations to ensure that parts are made according to the specifications of our customers.

Key Responsibilities for Stamping Operator

• Upon receipt of order, the Toolmaker discusses technical construction and deadlines with supervisors using technical data and drawings as supporting documents.

• Repairs tools based on defined specifications, constructions, and modification if necessary.

• Control and testing of the constructed tools for dimensional accuracy and functionality.

• Order confirmation after disposal into production.

• Optimizes process flows (Analysis of tool standstills, laser welding, etc.)

• Performs maintenance work, eventually making proposals for optimization.

• Trains employees on stamping process.

• Development of spare part administration of stamping tools.

• Repair alternative modules for different contact varieties.

• Support the integration of additional stamping machines.

• Laser welding as needed.

Preferred education and experience for Stamping Operator

• Completed toolmaker apprenticeship of 3 years or equivalent

• 2+ years’ experience working in a toolmaker capacity

• Automotive Sector- Production Facilities- OEM’s- Tier 1 and 2
