The Vertex Co-op Program offers students the opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry from a hands-on perspective. You will be working closely with and learning from some of the brightest people in the industry. Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to join our Global Human Resources team as a Co-op. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in various HR functions and contribute to our organization's success. You will be exposed to multiple HR disciplines and capabilities, such as Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, Organizational Design, People Experience, Data Analytics and Story-Telling, and HR Business Partnering. The actual project(s) assigned for this Co-Op to make an impact on will be determined prior to the Co-Op starting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with recruitment and selection processes, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating candidate evaluations.

Support the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing employment contracts, assisting with orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition.

Assist with employee relations activities, including addressing employee inquiries, conducting exit interviews, and maintaining employee records.

Support the performance management process by assisting in goal-setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.

Assist in the implementation and administration of HR programs and policies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Contribute to HR projects, such as employee engagement initiatives, diversity and inclusion programs, and talent development initiatives.

Conduct research and analysis on HR best practices and trends to support continuous improvement in HR processes.

Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including maintaining HR files, preparing reports, and coordinating HR events.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Human Resources (preferred). Will consider candidates with a Bachelor’s degree.

0-2 years of experience

Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.

Knowledge of HR principles and best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
