*** Webcam interview *** very long term project initial PO for 1 year with multiyear extensions ***within 100 miles; Mostly Remote with onsite visits as needed; must pick up laptop in person and be onsite for few days for orientation
Description:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and operating systems
Administration and management of VMWare infrastructure like vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and virtual machines.
Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring high availability.
Implementing security measures, including backups, and data protection.
Managing software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
Automating administrative tasks and creating scripts for system management.
Craft and implement network configurations and test plans
Gathering and presenting System Performance Metrics
Perform platform software upgrades and failover testing
Administration of routers, switches, and other network equipment
Perform audits as needed
Work with IT teams in preparing platform enhancements and configurations
Identify areas of the infrastructure for optimization
Develop detailed architectural diagrams and procedure documents.
Skills:
Working knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP
Working knowledge of routing and switching (Spanning Tree/OSPF/BGP /802.1q/QoS/AAA)
Experience with wireless networks, VPN, firewalls, load balancers
Virtualization Support: VMware / ESXi, Linux, and Windows
Experience with network management tools and troubleshooting
Knowledge and experience with SDLC and AGILE methodologies and ITIL framework
Excellent problem solving and communication skills are required
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a pressured environment
Cisco Networking certification preferred
