Interim Controller/Director of Finance with Intacct

Cordia Resources is currently seeking a talented and experienced Controller/Director for Finance and play a vital role in managing our financial operations and ensuring the effective use of resources.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all financial activities of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support the organization's strategic goals.

Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Prepare and present regular financial statements, reports, and analysis to the management team and board of directors.

Collaborate with program managers to provide financial insights for decision-making and resource allocation.

Manage the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and successful completion.

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.

Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems, processes, and tools.

Assist in grant and proposal budgeting, tracking, and reporting as needed.

Support the executive team in strategic financial planning and risk management. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).

Proven experience 7+ years in financial management, accounting, or related roles, with a track record of success.

Strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in using accounting software, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in Sage Intacct.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

Ability to work collaboratively and lead a team.

Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Experience in managing audits and working with external auditors.
